Apple Intelligence already available in EU regions – if you have English US language chosen then you can try the Apple Intelligence Beta. I have given it a shout, but it didn’t impress me much. Basically I thought Siri would be a great improvement in voice steering of my Mac, but the number of issues with pausing in the middle of a word make it worse than the regular say command. Context also is not kept for me, Siri can change the topic to a really distant one I originally asked for. It’s not a competitor for OpenAI Voice Assistant.
The work with text is quite okay, these are features I will use most – so far I used Ollama for that, and if the built-in solution works better I guess they’ll stay if not or any OpenSource model is better I will switch back. Verdict 4/10.
