Hermes Agent on NVIDIA RTX Spark: AI Innovations

Posted on October 22, 2026

Updates on AI Models

The recent introduction of the Hermes Agent was showcased by Jensen Huang at GTC Berlin 2026. This AI agent operates on NVIDIA RTX Spark and integrates seamlessly with various tools, including FreeCAD, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Additionally, the Flint model, developed by Recursive SI, boasts a 40 billion mixture of experts (MoE) architecture, running at impressive speeds of over 125 tokens per second on MacBook Pro systems and 150 tokens per second on RTX Spark setups. Alongside Flint, the Underdog Bark 3.0 model is noted for its performance despite its smaller size, and it outperforms larger competitors in speech generation.

Gemini Integrations and Features

The Gemini model continues to expand its applications, now integrated into Google Maps navigation on CarPlay, enhancing user experiences with real-time journey organization. It is also available on Android Auto, showcasing its versatility across platforms. Furthermore, Gemini facilitates dynamic interactions in Google Chrome, allowing it to create interactive quizzes, summarize study videos, and read texts aloud, demonstrating its comprehensive utility in educational contexts.

OpenAI Security Initiatives

OpenAI conducted a review that identified critical security vulnerabilities in PHP, highlighting them as among the most impactful flaws in recent times. This assessment is part of the organization’s broader “Patch the Planet” initiative, aimed at improving security across AI platforms. Moreover, OpenAI models are set to be integrated into Google Cloud’s Model Garden, advancing accessibility for developers.

Industry Collaborations and Launches

Collaboration efforts have seen significant developments, particularly between Mistral and NVIDIA, focusing on AI applications in industrial engineering. The launch of Claude Duet by Anthropic, powered by Opus 5.5, reflects advancements in AI capabilities, which have improved significantly. Additionally, Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, discussed recent communication challenges within the company regarding its strategic moves.

Advancements in Education and Research

New research initiatives have emerged, including the launch of the white paper “The Age of Reasoning” by Metis Reasoning, a new AI company founded by a diverse team of experts. This could potentially contribute to advancements in areas such as robotics and engineering. Furthermore, AI tools are becoming crucial in educational sectors, as demonstrated by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service’s use of Copilot to enhance administrative efficiency and data utilization.

Innovative AI Tools and Projects

A notable project, the OXR open source initiative, is designed to track footnotes, formulas, and tables while achieving remarkable throughput. The development of Microduck, which relies on reinforcement learning for real-world AI applications, is gaining attention as well. Additionally, the new Antigravity feature allows users to edit videos in DaVinci Resolve, showcasing practical applications of AI in creative industries.

Funding and Growth Opportunities

Hugging Face has initiated a $20,000 giveaway for projects built with Beam, encouraging innovation in AI workflows. In terms of funding, DeepSeek managed to raise approximately $15 billion from private financings, with significant commitments from investors like CATL. Moreover, the Codex program has expanded its offerings, granting Pro 200 tier upgrades to 10,000 users, which enhances accessibility to advanced AI coding tools.
