Nvidia OpenShell and Anthropic Collaboration for AI Safety

Posted on September 28, 2026

Nvidia’s OpenShell Software Launch

Nvidia has introduced OpenShell, a new software designed for AI agents, which is now broadly available through its developer resources and GitHub. Accompanying this launch is the Sentry reference system design, which is based on the BlueField-4 architecture. Notably, several companies are actively utilizing OpenShell, including SpaceXAI with its Cursor coding agents and Grok models, Salesforce which has integrated it with Slack, and SAP embedding the software into Joule Studio. Additionally, more than 100 organizations, including major players like Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and ServiceNow, are now leveraging Nvidia’s technologies.

Anthropic’s Collaboration with Nvidia

Anthropic is working alongside Nvidia to enhance safety and protection protocols for Claude Managed Agents. This collaboration signifies a commitment to ensuring more secure interactions and functionalities within AI systems, indicating a trend toward increased safety measures in AI agent deployment.

OpenBot v0.23.0 Release

The release of OpenBot v0.23.0 has introduced several new features, including support for Gemini, specifically aimed at Google AI Pro and Ultra. The update also adds a “waiting for replies” block to facilitate better coordination among agents, alongside enhancements in mobile navigation and server management capabilities. This latest version demonstrates a focused effort to improve user interaction and operational efficiency within AI systems.

Performance Comparisons in AI Agents

The ongoing competition in AI agent efficiency has led to claims regarding the price-performance ratio of different models. Notably, some users have reported that Hermes is perceived to be four times cheaper than Devin, highlighting the significant considerations organizations must evaluate when selecting AI agents for their operations. Devin is positioning itself as a price-performance-focused solution, seeking to effectively orchestrate various underlying models, both closed and open.

Continuous Development in AI Technology

The technological landscape surrounding AI continues to evolve dynamically, with multiple organizations innovating and integrating new tools into their systems. The updates and collaborations of companies like Nvidia and Anthropic signal a shift toward more integrated and secure AI agent technologies, reflecting the industry’s response to growing demands for efficiency and safety in AI deployment.
